The Workers
There are many tasks to be undertaken within the organisation and each member of the committee has a specific responsibility, such as wardrobe, stage management, welfare, publicity, recruitment and registrar. It is because they are there that the choir moves so sweetly.

Charles Manfield is the choir’s Concert Secretary and has been a member for 15 years, singing baritone. A native of South Wales he has lived and worked locally for many years building up a thriving contracting business on Deeside. You want an extension, contact Charles. He has been Concert Secretary for a good number of years and is your first port of call if you wish to book the choir for any kind of event. Gareth Hughes. Concert Accompanist and Deputy M.D.

In the late 80's Gareth Hughes had been the choir accompanist, and a very successful one, but changing circumstances meant a move away. Now he has accepted the position as Concert Accompanist and Deputy Conductor and the whole choir is delighted to see him back.

Gareth was raised in Mostyn and studied at the Royal Academy of Music in London. After graduating in 1986 he worked as a piano accompanist in London before joining Yamaha UK to develop and promote their digital piano products in the UK and it was at this time that Gareth was accompanist for Flint Male Voice Choir.

In 2003 he opened the "March Hare Music Store" in Llandudno. The business specialises in high quality products and supports Music Schools in Holywell and Llandudno where Gareth also teaches. He lives in Mostyn with wife Maria and children Madison aged 2 and 13 month old Owain Furnival.

Of this new appointment Gareth said, "I am both honoured and delighted to be asked to return as Flint's Concert accompanist. I am particularly looking forward to taking the baton for the first time as Deputy Conductor at the Choir's Annual Festival.
